So here's the thing: I love to watch sports and I love to go to bed early. Up until recently, more often than not, when games went late I would just catch the scores and highlights the next day. Lately though I've been recording some events and watching them the next day. The NFL playoff game between the Patriots and the Jaguars is an example. The game was played on Saturday night. I watched all but about 1 hour of it on Saturday night and then watched the rest the next morning before looking at the final score. It was great! I loved it!
What made this work for me was not knowing the score ahead of time. For me, if I know the final score I rarely watch something that's recorded.
What about you? Do you record sports? Do you watch it whether or not you know the final score?

This happened yesterday for the Daytona 500... actually tried it last year for the NASCAR season, but the hard drive (80Gb internal) on the Charter MOXI DVR box wasn't large enough to record the show and let my wife's shows get recorded later Sunday night. So, out I went this winter to spend ~$160 and buy an external 750Gb USB-connected drive for *all* the HD recording I could possibly want and protect the recording from being deleted prematurely as was the case regularly last season.
As of this writing 24 hours after the race, I still have the final 50 laps to watch... once I can kick my kids off Guitar Hero III on this Presidents Day holiday .
